Made up of <b>19 towns<\/b>, it covers the province of Alicante from the municipality of Denia, in the north, to Pilar de la Horadada, in the south.<\/p><p>The capitals par excellence of this Mediterranean area are <b>Benidorm and Torrevieja<\/b>, two of the most popular tourist resorts in the area and along the entire Levantine coast. However, each of the towns and villages that make up the Costa Blanca are enchanting and different from one another. But what is so special about this Mediterranean paradise that makes it such a sought-after place?<\/p><h2>300 DAYS OF SUNSHINE PER YEAR<\/h2><p>Good weather all year round? Yes, it is possible on the Costa Blanca. One of its main characteristics is its sun and beach conditions. Thanks to these two factors, it offers a <b>temperate climate<\/b> for a large part of the year, making it attractive for both tourist and residential activity.<\/p><p>The World Health Organization (WHO), determined that the climate found in the Costa Blanca is &#8220;<b>one of the healthiest<\/b>&#8221; for people. On average, it has more than 2,800 hours of sunshine per year and an average temperature of between 17\u00ba and 19\u00ba. Rainfall in the area is scarce, as it usually rains 20 days or so throughout the year.<\/p><p>Winter is usually mild and not too cold due to its proximity to the sea. However, in mountainous areas you may have the chance to see snow on many days of the year.<\/p><h2>CULTURE AND TRADITION IN ITS PUREST FORM<\/h2><p>Gunpowder, light and fire. The streets of the vast majority of towns on the Costa Blanca are filled with colours to represent their culture and tradition. Undoubtedly, we are in one of the areas with the most patron saint festivals on the peninsula.<\/p><p>One of the best known by locals and tourists alike are the <b>Hogueras de San Juan<\/b>, celebrated in the heart of Alicante. Held in June, they welcome the summer with musical performances, fireworks and sculptures that are all art. A way of welcoming the new and burning the things of the past. All with the same purpose: to worship fire.<\/p><p>The history of the area is also represented in many villages and towns in the area. We are talking about the traditional and historical festival of the Moors and Christians. Among the most famous are those in Alcoy, which were declared <b>Festivals of International Tourist Interest in 1980.<\/b> During every month of the year you can find part of this tradition in every
